So im going through a major change..literally..i just changed my major from Illustration to Fine Arts. Ive realized that llustration is just not what im made for.. i cant create anything from my head..every piece of artwork ive ever done has used reference or was from life..im not a very conceptual or really all that creative of a person is what ive come to realize, and though i love the art of illustration i just dont think its something i could ever learn fast enough in 3 years to make it a career. I realize there are less options in fine arts, but if i completely enjoy what i am doing, then i believe in the end that it is completely worth it. I dropped all my illustration classes and am going part time as of now, but i will make up a couple classes in the summer and therefore still be considered a junior next fall. Im not sure how they expect me to complete 3 years worth of classes in 2, but the advisor was sure that it could be achieved. Just wanted to let everyone know! Melissa
